This is the website for Note-Orious
A fun, friendly, community choir celebrating 12 years of singing in Dulwich
Note-Orious are a fun, friendly community choir based in East Dulwich at the East Dulwich Tavern. We currently have around 40 members – men and women from all walks of life who come together on a Monday evening to sing. There is no audition, and anyone can join, as long as they can sing in tune.
In regular times, before we were hit by Covid-19, we hold frequent concerts in and around East Dulwich, as well as forays further afield to the South Bank, London Bridge Station and Southwark Park. We raise money for local and national good causes at the concerts. Our repertoire is primarily pop, rock and indie.
Most songs are performed in four-part harmony – lower and higher male voices (Bass and Tenor) and lower and higher female voices (Alto and Soprano). We provide sheet music, but you don’t need to read music as teaching tracks are available to help you learn your part. There is also plenty of time to learn each song, with rehearsals taking place in a supportive environment.
At the moment we are rehearsing through Zoom but hope to return to face to face sessions when we can. In July 2020 we released our own Covid-19 lockdown track, available on our YouTube channel.
We are still currently recruiting Tenors and Basses in particular but all applications are welcome. If you are interested please email or use the contact form below.
